AGENDA 2010
Agenda 2010 is Manchester's 10-year plan of action to improve race equality.
It's a public statement of our commitment to Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) communities.
The Agenda 2010 Charter sets out the vision and objectives.
The main purpose is to close the gap between BME communities and Manchester on key areas, while at the same time narrowing the gap between Manchester and the rest of England.
The Agenda 2010 partnership is made up of people from Manchester's public service agencies, the voluntary sector and our BME communities. It provides a framework in which to deliver improved race equality that is acknowledged and supported by our residents. It's about changing how mainstream services work, and how appropriate they are to addressing the needs of everyone in the community.
