This page explains how the Manchester Partnership uses any information you give to us, and the ways in which we protect your privacy. 

The Data Protection Act
Under the Data Protection Act, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you. We have instituted strict security standards to ensure that the information collected by the Manchester Partnership Mapping is only accessed by those authorised for its intended use. We do not pass on your details to any third party or public body unless you give us permission to do so.

If you send an email or letter, we may need to contact agencies or public bodies to find the relevant information. If your question is technical, we may need to pass it to our technology supplier. We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry, unless you have given us permission to do so. This is personal data collected as part of an interactive service offered via the website.

We will endeavour to address your comment or question within 20 days via a written reply.

Complaints
If you feel that your personal or organisational information has been used for a purpose that you were not told about (or did not understand), that it has been retained longer than you think is necessary or that it has been seen by someone that who you think should not have seen it, please direct your complaint to the contact address detailed above. 

Under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) you are also able to access any type of recorded information held by The Manchester Partnership. Please address any such query to the contact address detailed above. 

Site Usage Information
Log Files - These allow us to record visitors' use of the site. Using web user statistics we put together log file information about all our visitors, which we use to make changes to the layout of the site and to the information in it, based on the way that visitors move around it. Log files do not contain any personal information or information about which sites you have visited.

Security
The Manchester Partnership, in conjunction with the host company Bite IT, will take the appropriate steps to ensure that the site is safe and secure from intrusion.

What happens when you link to another site?
The Manchester Partnership website contains links to other websites. This privacy policy applies only to our site. When you are moving to another site you should take steps to read the privacy statement of any site which collects personal information. We do not pass on any other personal information you have given us to any other site.
